Here's what I'll say about the coin and the accompanying pictures. It was hard to image it properly because the holder is severely scratched up. The coin is actually quite bright, whiter than either set of pictures shows and the frost is even overall. There is slight strike weakness which might be seen in the jaw and under the third pillar. No toning and no hairlines with nice, deep mirrors lend to give a pleasant appeal. This coin needs to be re-holdered in clean plastic. It's easy enough to look at in hand, but through the lens it was really hard to get anything even remotely accurate. That's especially evident in the top reverse where almost all the glare under the building is a result of scratches.

The top pictures were shot and cropped with no adjustment. The bottom pictures were shot, cropped and then I fixed the levels slightly which seemed to remove most of the scratches and the way they diffused the light.

With all that said, what's your grade estimate??image
