Last night at a club meeting I came across a nice Large Cent and flipped through my Breen's that I always take with me. Unfortunately it's the only reference I have for Large Cents. The subject coin is a nice XF 1839 with a die crack running through Liberty from the top of her head almost to the date. The nine appears to show signs of the overdate in both loops. There is some excess metal on the left inside of the top loop and the right inside of the bottom loop.
I only had a short time to look at the coin and since the series isn't one that I study closely, perhaps someone can help me distinguish between the two heads types, 1836 and 1839 Silly head. This could be a major score if it's the overdate.
Thanks.

Betts medals, colonial coins, US Mint medals, foreign coins found in early America, and other numismatic Americana
