Michigan Quarters

The guy that owns the store where I get gas told me he got some quarters from the bank today, all were the new Michigan Quarters.
Man he musta had 40 rolls of them. I don't collect modern stuff, but I got 2 rolls from him anyway.
Now what'll I do with them? Put them with my 13900 lincoln wheat cents and let them collect dust too?
Oh well, I can always spend them. They do look like they're all about MS69 or MS70 or even way better'n that, maybe.

  • At work last week we called Agnes at the downtown vault to see if we could order a box of Michigan quarters. Yeppers, she said, they finally had enough boxes to start sending out to the branches. Yesterday the shipment came...........no Michigan quarters. I'm going to have to talk to that Agnes. image
  • They must be a plentiful issue this time, I have 2 rolls now from 2 different banks.

So, can one ex-Michigander such as myself call the Michigan Quarter "Yoopers" - not sure I spelled it right but those in the "know" know what I mean.....in specific reference to the Upper Penninsula.....

I'm a Yooper and you can't use that term on yourself unless you were born here OR survived 8 or more winters OR currently, RIGHT NOW, in your closet, have a pair or heavy boots (sorels preferred), a pair of choppers, a touke and a carhart and EVEN THEN you're just an honorary yooper.

if you have to ask what any of those items are.... you're a TROLL and if you don't know what a TROLL is you're a flatlander and you'll never understand.

I survived 5 winters a Michigan Tech. Still have my Bates floaters in my closet. Does that count?
