a collector's lifetime collection. Who pays top dollar for a collector's entire holdings? Is this the right way to go or should other venues be explored? And, if what you're selling is specialized, then offer your coins to the specialists who deal in that market because they are more likely to have direct retail access and so can afford to pay more.

Also, if practical, you should consider offering the coins back to the dealer from whom you purchased the coin. If that dealer is reasonably ethical, then he will try to buy it back with as fair a price as he can make.
