A HepKitty Winged Liberty, but what grade is it???? Grade revealed!

Ok, what would you grade this one and why???

Gimmie a explanation of the grade you would assign this little Jewel....

I know grading from images is tough, but, based on what you see, tell me what you think.
This coin is a offwhite coin, seeming to show original toning, and has very good luster.....

nevermind the picture, knowing the hepkitty, its pcgs ms66fsb, I would say 67 except for the little tick on the neck.

Nice coin! Awesome strike and luster. image

64fb maybe. The flaw on the neck is distracting and pretty big for the size of the coin.
    Plus a 20-d jumps a few g's in price from a 64fb-65fb.

    ms-66 fully struck, why?

1... appears unusually full struck for the date
2... looks basicaly mark-free, except for a ding on the neck.
    3... great luster
    4... no hairlines

  • IMHO it's a 65FB....great strike! Reason is that all my 66FB's are essentially mark free, and I see a ding on the neck of this one.
  • WOWZERS! Great looker there! Looks like a 66FB to me... very nice coin! image Coolness Factor of 10 goes to the HepKitty Merc!

MS65FB (that mottled planchet keeps it from being a 67FB).

  • 65FB ding in the neck sticks out....might even be a 64 except for the great strike might keep it 65

Also is that a flat spot on the rim above the AM in America? or just the holder Lucy?

I will say 65FB,that hit on the neck looks big enough to keep it from 6.

Looks like it could go as low as MS61FB if what I think I see is on the cheek. The gut feeling is that the coin is 63FB because of the look of the coin. It appears to have very nice luster.

Thats a pretty cool merc with the Die Crack coming in from the right and the other one coming up from the bottom. That die was on its last leg.

MS64FB for the stab wounds in the neck and cut on the cheek.

    Did OJ handle this coin?

I want to say 65FB, but the neck ding probably makes it a 64FB. Really nice coin! It is always hard to grade from a scan, even a nice one. LucyBop rocks!

I'm going to say 64FB. If it were a common date it would probably go higher but the price/grade differential is very high for this date. The nicks on the chin and neck are in high visibility areas and are distracting.
    All glory is fleeting.

  • 64FB was my gut instinct, would have gone 65-66 exept for the mark on the cheek and neck.

This little JEWEL has super clean fields, pretty much hit free.....
    very good strike......
some added metal above the AM on the reverse.....
the cheek is free of hits, though the one that is seen on the neck is there....
nice die cracks on this coin......

this little JEWEL PCGs gave a ms63fb coin to....

FairlaneCat nailed it, others came very close..... this ms63fb has the look of a higher graded coin..

I'll tell you, I've owned, handled many ms63fbl Frankies...... I took a huge boatload of them in trade on a deal....
a ms63 Frankie is bagmarked very bad.....

I don't know if the mark that shows on the neck is enough to drop this one to a three holder, or if the added metal on the reverse
is seen as a negative or the die cracks.....

At the very least, this one is a Super coin in a three holder......
