429 Braves Cards

Hey, I am currently trying to see 429 Atlanta Braves cards, all in a binder. I started the price off at $19.99, but I'm guessing thats alittle too high. What would you suggest the starting price should be, and is anyone here interested in these cards? Most of them aren't totally rare, but - someone has got to want these, heh.

Thanks.

Your 80% feedback rating might not be helping you any. You might consider building that up to about 99% before you try selling too much.
Meantime he's a link for the lazy
    Braves

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • The starting bid is way too high, IMO.

Well, I have 80% because some guy gave me negative feedback for no reason. But I won't get into that, and I understand.

About the starting bid. What do you guys suggest?
  • Honestly, the cards probably won't bring a whole lot on Ebay. There are just too many lots that are constantly offered. If you are just looking to get rid of them, you may be better off busting them into player lots (which may not bring much either). I always start my auctions off at $0.99 but there is definitely a good chance that you may only get one bid on 'em. I've never had much luck getting much for any lots I've listed. I've probably had lots that booked for +/- $100 that only brought $5...but I cleared out space so I was content. Good luck!
  • Though I'm not an avid collector anymore, and I would like to get rid of my cards, I don't think I could sell these for that low, heh. Too much time and money put into these to just let them go like that, so it looks like I'll lower it alittle bit, but if I don't get any bids, I guess that is fine.

I believe one thing stopping people from spending alot on Lots is because the shipping prices are usually very high because they weigh so much.
  • Don't forget, something is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it.

    A couple of tips though:

List the weight of the item when its packed, then people can get an idea of postage costs.
give people the option of having them shipped without the binder to keep the costs down.
List a few of the key cards, rookies, star inserts
try to be less vague, 80's and 90's is no good. List some of the specific sets that the cards come from.
"Some pages may be a bit dusty" this will put people off, why not just dust them yourself???????

Have you considered just donating them to a local kids charity?

    hope that helps
