Card Shipping (submitting) question

Hello all.

I'm new to the world of PSA grading. I've registered and am in the process of submitting my fairly large collection in for grading. One simple question from the get-go. Is it really frowned upon by PSA if I send my cards in for grading in top-loaders? I'd hate to have to go out and purchase a ton of card saver's that they truly reccomend. I think anyone with sports card knowledge knows how to remove a card from a top-loader without damaging the card.

All replies appreciated. Thanks.

  • I believe the instructions pretty clearly state NOT to use top loaders...Obviously, there is a good reason why they want to use to Card Savers. Check some EBay auctions. I picked up a big lot of the Card Savers for a good price.

    Good luck with your submissions

Absolutely right...top loaders are not recommended by PSA for submissions. It would seem in your best interest to submit cards as they request; and as stated, 200 card saver 1's can be had for around $10.00 or so. Also, I find that the card saver is a better and safer way to transport your cards anyway. Put them in piles of no more than 25, and sandwich them between two pieces of cardboard for extra protection.
