Cheap a$$ scanner trick for those who don't

have a digital camera.

I know the topic has been covered to an extent, but this works pretty darn good. I was reading in some past threads about how some use a prop, like a pencil to angle a coin in a holder so that the light will refract in such a way to give a somewhat decent scan.
I was thinking though (I know, that's dangerous), what about non-slabbed coins and such? Well, my wife Kitty came up with a brilliant notion. She had me pull a piece of glass from an 8x10 frame,... tape a 3/16" slat of wood (or whatever) to one end of the glass of the 8" width, and tape the other three edges to avoid cuts and ouchies. Lay the glass on the scanner bed and place the coin near the highest point of the glass, then scan away.
This works great for raw coins! Coins that turned out terrible before now scan really well.
I guess that's why she wears the white shirt at her work (EMS Supervisor.. Cladiator can relate).

Anyway, just thought I would throw this in for those who may use scanners (like me).
