He talks about Lincoln Cents where many of us got our start in the hobby, but makes an interesting foray with this line: "Occasionally I peek into an online chat room about American numismatics, and I quickly get a reality check about focus."
I think he's been lurking here and reading all the OT threads!!!!
He's had several good columns since the beginning of the year, it's always enjoyable to see his perspective on things. I just thought his one paragraph spoke more about the influence that the world-wide-web has become and less about what he refers to as forum participants "not seeming to care much about coin lore or tradition." Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit humorous to imagine one of our generations leading Numismatist's hard at work, needing a break and tuning in??!!!
