Yet another auction ended, seller loses out?

I was prepared to bid substantially above the $623 last bid on this auction but after a "zero" feedback bidder who has not cosumated a sale in almost a year bid I decided to wait to bid at the last minute just in case.

Wouldn't you know it the seller now claims the coin has been sold. Imagine the coincidence! Just 2 minutes before this auction would have closed! Well if he did not really sell it he lost out on $1k+.

Only serves to remind me why NOT to bother bidding on ebay, dealing with cons and then the joy of Paypal. Who needs it?

If you fail to place a bid you have no right to complain about anything.

I don't know the correct terminology, but that cent was obviously struck on a dime, not just on a dime planchet.

There's no shame in that image

  • Yea, ebay really sucks - How about a $10k+ coin that sells for $70! linkaroo

I couldn't be there at the end so I had a friend bid for me in the last minute. She hit the submit button and the darned bid took a good 45 sec to go through on her dial up modem and the 'too late' screen came up. It hasn't been a good day! BTW: as everyone in the world missed this one - it's a Ryder 15!
