how do you crack a bicentenial silver proof set

These little individual holders are driving me nuts.

    I use a couple of heavy pliers and twist the edges off all the way around.

    It's difficult and time consuming but you won't damage the coins.

    if you are submitting them somewhere - send them like they are



    is there a little notch somewhere on the rim edge?

    Not submitting, putting them in the "modern coinage" page in my dansco. I cant seem to find a notch.

    Yeah those were glued together and you can't pry them apart. I had to use plyers to cut along the rims until I could lift the cover off.
