My Friend's Bobblehead Collection

Maybe the proper term is "obsession" rather than "collection". image
My friend started collecting these back when the bobblehead
craze began a few years ago. He now has over 300 bobbleheads
and counting. At least I know what to get him for birthdays &
Christmas. Here's some pics (sorry for the glare):

This is probably the most prized piece in his collection -- a vintage
Red Wings bobblehead dating back to 1962. One of our friends
found it while garbage picking...

Great collection! Thanks for the pics. I love to see how others display their stuff. I bought a couple very similar display cases from a card shop that was going out of business a few years ago, they are a pain to move, but I look great all filled up!
Collecting anything and everything relating to Roger Staubach
  • You call that a collection? I dont see the Mr. Mint bobblehead anywhere!!!!!

Griffins-- you can get all of 'em shaking pretty good by nudging the
display case. Actually looks a little freaky after awhile....

Kid4hof03-- those cases look great when the interior lights are on, too.
My friend bought his used, like you, and he still had to fork over about
    $600 for the thing.

Cubfan-- my friend ordered a Mr. Mint bobblehead, but when it arrived it
was severely overgraded, so he returned it... image

helionaut-- yep, that's Ben with the 'fro, alright. I would've uploaded
some bigger, more detailed images, but the limit was 50 kb. I think he's
got four or five different versions of Ben. The newest one is really
cool -- it's a bigger one made by Forever (great bobblehead company),
and Ben is holding his Defensive Player of the Year award.

  • I've got extra Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones, and Hank Aaron bobbleheads new in box that were issued to the first 1,000 people at Greenville Braves (AA Southern League) games if he is interested lmk
