Well, this is an interesting group of PCGS certified Wheaties

Teletrade Link

Will be interesting to see how much these bring.

    Interesting mix. Some interesting circs.

But who the heck sends in XF45 58-D's to PCGS?

Maybe the submitter thought he had it (them) worn down to Poor01 and misjudged the grade?

You know, one of those lowest graded set?

The only think I can think of is someone thought they had a fortune in old wheat cents. Took them to a dealer who would not offer a million dollars and told them if they did not believe the dealer to submit them to PCGS and then they would know that they are not millionaires.image

Well, here's an updated link. It looks like a few sold but most didn't get the $3 opening bid (which is really $6 with the buyer's fee).

  • Actually, the cheapest you can get anything from Teletrade is $11 w/the buyer's fee. Even less of a reason to buy a 40D in VF30! This guy had to spend over $200 in grading fees on coins we've all probably found in circulation in the past year!
