Westford Ma. show report

BUSY! Nothing else to really say about it. image The place was wall to wall for quite some time, and only one dealer I spoke with (honestly, I didn't have time for much chit chat, even while packing up) wasn't very happy with the day (crack?image)

There was a ton of everything going on. Buying, Selling, Trading, you name it. I had the oppurtunity to shoot the breeze with a few board members which is always enjoyable.

It was a tough day to buy anything, due soley to the fact that I was so busy at my table, I couldnt' get out and walk the floor.

The short and sweet of it was that it was extremely busy, and everyone seemed upbeat......almost everyone. image

Sorry for the brief report, but I'm pooped!!

I was there too. The place was PACKED!
  • The guys ain't lying! I had dealers lined out up outside my hotel room ready to do biz and they had their checkbooks ready. Well, they would have but I didn't actually have a room. I got mobbed at the front desk while trying to check in and sold everything right then and there. I even sold my lamp! Heard someone say they thought it "had a shot" whatever that means.

Seriously, it was busy and a good time was had by all as far as I know. It's always nice to see BigD, 09SVDB, TonedDollars and all the rest of the usual misfits.

Some of the dealers there should make a small investment - buy some good lamps. There was a dealer there without a single lamp. I have never seen a coin show with such poor lighting before (worst than last month).

That was the busiest I've seen it. As usual, I had my 5 year old with me and it was difficult to navigate down the aisles. Pretty soon after walking in, we got a couple of Buffalo Nickels for my son's album and a mint error penny, which he loves. After that, he was ready to go. I might have spent 30 minutes there and probably didn't pass more than 15 tables.

One of these days, I'll have to look some of you guys up. So far the only local board member I've met is BigD5. I stopped by his table at his inaugural "I'm a dealer now"show. He's a great guy and he started my son on the path of mint error collecting.

Darin ain't lyin'! He was busier than a one-armed man in a cybersex room!

Tons of nice stuff there this weekend. For the most part, you had to wait a few minutes to get near MOST tables.

    Cheers,

I'm not sure if I was having as much fun as that guy was!!! image

Brian, I'm sorry I missed you and your son. I have a permanent table over near the coffee/snack table. Look me up next time, and I can try and add to your son's "error" collection. image

It's nice to know he latched on to those coins after that Bedford N.H. show. image
