beckett what?

we all know beckett is crap.. i thought these were interesting auctions (cheap auctions) how they ended up bringing more than book.. all 4 raw cards..

2003 pristine zach thomas pristine gems sold $17.78 bv$12.50
1962 topps nfl 106 del shofner sold $4.25 bv$5.00 (mine was in EX condition)
1973 topps nfl 100 larry csonka sold $12.50 bv$6.00 (was EX-MT)
1974 topps nfl 329 nfl passing leaders (stabler/staubach) sold $10.00 bv$5.00 (was way off center, otherwise VG-EX)
1977 Topps nfl #230 alan page sold $4.25 bv$1.00 (EX)

  • It appears looking at the bidding that a couple of people got locked into a bidding war on a couple of these. They were probably seeing who had the bigger kahunga's and not necessarily concerned about going overbook to get them.

  • Man....those are actually lower priced cards and with the millions of cards out there it would be pretty tough to print accurate prices. I like the fact that Beckett did realize one price was off alot (Reggie Miller Sign of the Times Booked at $40) and I sold the card for $100 on ebay. They made a note of it in the guide and basically that price should move up to a more accurate level.
