The price would not bother me one bit. That is an extremely difficult coin to find in that grade. Due to the melting down of these for WWI, the Edwardian Florins are much more scarce than you think. Nice catch!

It is a nice one at a nice grade, sometimes we get the bargin and sometimes we don't, but at least you weren't thinking in Pesos.....

Had that one on my watch list too but splurged on another item instead. That's a nice piece.

This florin is one of the most beautiful English coins imho. I've recently bought one myself , for my Whitman 20th century silver type album, a nice proof from Michael Gouby, graded as pAS. I just don't understand why MS are so much more expensive than proofs. Very nice coin anyway python.

Isn't it simply that there are very few MS examples extant? Most of the proofs never circulated.
