Recent trip to Mexico

For everyones info, made a recent trip to Mexico (Playa Del Carmen) for a little fun in the sun winter trip. Did a little shopping and silver is going for an astronomical price of $2.00 usd per gram. Common libertads in one ounce were selling for $56.00 usd with bickering down to the $25.00 to $30.00 dollar range (outrageous). I found a one kilogram Libertad copy in one store and was really scared to ask the price, but my curiosity overwhelmed me.....33,000 pesos at an exchange rate of 11 pesos to the dollar. I told the owner that silver was selling on the open world markets for $6.50 - $6.80 range and he said that was his price...unbelievable....

Their economy is really bad from what I heard...plus the tourist trap thingy was somewhat prevalant...

I have noticed increases in the price I am getting on the ones I sell, just in the last couple of months.
