I'm in Pittsburgh, got my first 2004-P cent on Tuesday.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Recieved a 2004-D Lincoln in change thursday. Had to have been from a buisness traveler or tourist, becuase we dont get D mint coins this far east for well into the year after they been brought back and forth.

  • College Park, Maryland. Just saw a bright shiny cent on the floor an hour ago, picked it up, and it's a 2004.
  • Opened up four rolls of Michigan quarters to see how the quality was.

Seems like the strike on the obverse is pretty nice.

Is the flatness of the reverse causing a better strike on the obverse?

Even found some MI-d's from rolls that might qualify for a ms-67, very unusual.

    Can't read the autograph - - who's the gal in your picture?image

Oh, wait.... WHAT was the question?

    That's right - - '04 coins...

My wife's found a few "P" Linc's and Roosies in change for me (that's the ONE nice thing about her always spending money!! image ), but nothing else, unless you count the "D" Michigan state quarters traded to me by another Forum member. Here, the "P" quarters aren't expected in at my local banks for another week or two!!image

And I live outside of & work downtown in Phila, PA!!

UPDATE 3/31/04: Well, we got in our Mich "P" state quarter rolls, so I'm caught up with both "P" & "D" for my and my kids' collections, and we've gotten all the "P" pennies and dimes we need as well out of circulation, but still no luck on the new reverse Jeffs, either "P" or "D". Just went to a bank today & ws told they were all out of theirs. Bummer!! Looking to trade for them - - just for Whitman folders - - nothing fancy.

I got a roll of P- Michigan quarters at my supermarket service desk in Lynn, Massachusetts. I was able to find one out of the roll that was good enough to save. All of the rest have a surface irregularity near the rim on the obverse that is very distracting. You can see it a little on this crappy scan.

I live in Rockford, il. about 90 miles west of Chicago near the Wisconsin line and havn't seen anything from 2004. I just started to see a nice assortment of 2003 coins. Received my first Maine Quarter in change from a pop machine at work the other day.

I sure could use some BU rolls of 2004-P/D dimes right about now! image
