Wierd technical ...problem (?)

I keep my URL in a notepad file so I don't have to remember it. Then when I wish to post an image, I simply copy the webspace URL and then ............in the CU form......back out the title and insert my new filename. Makes it fast to change an image.

BUT.....lately the form won't accept my usual URL. If I use a DIFFERENT URL it will slip in as normal.

What could be happening that the image form stops accepting a particular URL name?

And then accepts a DIFFERENT one???

Did it go over two lines, in which case only the first line was pasted?

The computer master that I am, sometimes the copy paste command doesn't work for me unless I minimize the web page then restore it back to it's original size. I don't know if this has anything to do with your problem or not. But it might be worth a try.

When I used to work as a computer helpdesk support rep, the first question that I'd always ask callers was "Is your computer on?" Answer: "No, it won't go on." Reply: "Is it plugged in?" Answer: "It was yesterday." Reply: "Have you checked today?" Answer: "No, let me go check." Next thing, {Click}... I guess that they didn't want to tell me that it was unplugged...

Have you ever openned your notepad file with wordpad? If so, there may be some hidden characters that you don't see, but won't work with the forum.

My recommendation is to open your notepad file and hit enter a few times and then retype your URL just as it was when it was working (even if you didn't change it, retype it). Then try pasting that into the forum to see if that works.

Airplanenut.....nope only one line.

I have a list of urls on the notepad file with different image names.

If I just run down to #3 or #5 or so, it works fine. It just decides not to accept the FIRST one for some reason. And....not consistently. Yesterday it would not work 3 or 4 times and then it did work.

I tried logging off and on and such, but still it did not like the number one URL but #2 was acceptable.

It's no biggie as when the form comes up blank, I just use the next in line and everything is fine.

It just made no sense. Today did the same thing.

Maybe I'll switch positions on the list and make the chips happy.
