Soriano....
Putty

Sorry been a long week at work, has this been covered? I did not see it. Espn announcing that Alfonso Soriano is actually 28 years old and not 26? It does little now but what about all the talk of how bright a future this guy has? Granted he is still young with plenty good of years in him, but what does everyone here think?
Just maybe he now only has 5-6 good years left instead of 7-8? Could it make a difference where he ends up on the list of all time greats?

<< <i>Whether he's 26 or 28 doesn't matter. He's a stud and will make Texas forget all about Pay Rod. >>
that remains to be seen.
let's all just wait an see what
he actually does before you proclaim
him a "shoe-in for theHOF" or anything...
(and that goes for Joestalin too.)
Let's watch and see.
<< <i>He's fun to watch any way you slice it. >>
true!
and he IS talented.
I just am not sure that he will be
as successful in the ranger organization
as he was in NY. Maybe he will...
(and likewise I think that A-rod will
excell in NY compared to even how
well he did on previous teams
I think Soriano informed the yankees (not caught by the US immigration due to a diff visa he carries) that he is 2 years older than stated.
I wouldn't be surprise if Pujols is found to be over 24.
I think Soriano is a good player. Let's see how he fares in a different environment.
Could make a difference if age is a factor (say he is the youngest player to hit 30 HR, 30 stolen base while there's another player younger than his true age who had 30-30).
Big difference if a player hits record breaking HRs, etc. and found to have been taking roids.
