Who wants to bid on a mystery card??

Check out this auction for a 1934 PSA card, no scan, no grade listed, no card # or player name. I guess the seller thinks that eBay charges per each word in the auction description, like a newspaper classified ad. image ...jay
And you have to be "Pre-approved" w/ the seller first. You must eMail him prior to bidding? WTF???
1934 PSA eBay auction - start bidding!!!

KOBY - Then I suggest you lock it up w/ the $50 Buy It Now, after your Pre approved of course image ...jay
  • That's the second preapproved bidder auction that I've seen in two days. What's up with that? I know I'm new to this hobby but I have looked through 1000's of auctions and these are the first I've seen. Are they common? The other I saw was for a seller named packclub. They/he/she require you to join a club at packclub.com in order to bid on their auctions. I had another thread asking if anyone had any experience with them. I wonder if this one is also a way to get you to join something in order to bid?

R&C - I've never seen the Pre-approved bidder thing before this auction. And to think, I thought my eBay ID was good enough to bid, didn't know that it was just phase 1, and on a $50 Buy It Now card to boot! Were not talking about buying a Mercedes or a Jaquar here! ...jay
  • The price just went up a little.

why doesnt somebody grab it? the BIN is well below SMR.. but SMR shows that the price is dropping.. is this because several Gehrigs have received high grades recently?

  • am I missing something, that link shows a PSA graded Gehrig for over $3000.00
  • dbj77,

Before the photo and information was listed into the auction, it was simply a $50 BIN for an unknown 1934 card. Of course it could not be bid on because it is for pre-approved bidders only. You had to have clicked on the link before to appreciate this thread.

Jay- I should have taken your advise. I could have owned a 1934 Gehrig PSA 8 for only fifty bucks! This is the last time I doubt you. Koby
