1836 Gobrecht Dollar Struck in Gold!
I've always liked these pattern gold dollars. This example is especially cool because you can clearly see the undertype: an 1859 gold dollar! And yes, it's by Gobrecht.

Sometimes I wonder what kind of designs were made yet didn't survive in pattern form. There had to be some, don't you think?
