According to the last thread on this here, the first post said it does not come out til April.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.
  • Now that you mention it, I think that I did see a box somewhere within the last few days.

Nvere mind, checked with my husband and I was wrong.

  • yeah I know, all the info I had seen says mid-April release

can't wait until it comes out

do you guys think it will follow other Topps "throwback" products like Heritage and 206 in popularity?

as far as i know from topps it an april 7th release!
  • I can only speak for us, but we love the classic designs like this set and the Heritage stuff. I'm sure that we will be breaking some boxes of this and the Heritage. I know that he had ordered two boxes of Heritage.

2 years ago after some research I started collecting the '15 Cracker Jack set. What really attracted me to in is the clean design and a player selection better than most of the other sets of its era (at least those sets that didn't contain a million dollar card). About 6 months ago Kit Young began grossly overpaying for mid grade cards, which drove them almost double the price they were. Since he had operated as Topps buyer in the T206 promo those of us that are working on the set figured something was up. When I say MXracer's sig line I was really excited- they did an excellent job of reproducing the original design. While I collect primarily vintage (pre WW2) cards, I will definitely order up a slug o' packs of this one, just for fun. I just hope its printed on stock closer to the original stock, rather than that crappy uv coated refractor crap they've been doing for the last 15 years. Besides the design the tactile feel of the older cards is what Topps is not understanding, and I hope they at least used uncoated stock for this one, as well as the creamy white paper of the original. I'm just as looking forward to collecting this set as I am to seeing the prices of the real ones drop back to where they should be (at least, where they should be until I finish my set. Then they can go thru the roof)

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
