Serious advice needed

Hey all...

I will be selling 6,000+ ounces of silver soon and am unsure of the best method to sell. "Best" meaning the perfect mix of profit and ease of the task. I have come up with several ways but am torn. Please chime in on your opinion of the ways I've listed and add other ways if you have any. Your help is greatly appreciated. The silver is in the form of excellent condition 1oz .999 Silver Bullion Coins minted by an unkown manufacturer I belive in the early 1980's.

This list is in no particular oder:

- Sell to a local dealer (probably will get less than spot, but would be very quick and easy)

- Find a buyer on the CU forums (may not be possible, can't imagine having a large profit)

- Sell the entire lot on eBay (shipping would be a huge pain, eBay final value fee would be insanly high)

- Sell in small lots on eBay (multiple eBay fees would really add up, risking deadbeat bidder annoyances with such high volumn of auctions)

I'm kindof at a loss as the best way to approach this.

Well, if you think silver will never rise about its present value...I would sell some here and there and see first where silver is going...if you sell it all at once, if it fly's to $10...your gonna be sick.

Try Tulving.com he pays as much as anyone

I recommend searching on the internet for major buyers. You have a large lot, and should be able to realize near spot less shipping cost. Tulving is paying 4.6xface on 90% right now.

You should be able to find major dealers buying within 50 miles of your location....at good prices too.

I live in Northern California but the silver is in Nevada...the Reno area. Know of any dealors in that area?

I would do a dutch auction on eBay and see what happens ...... who knows!?

Sell it on ebay and say it was part of the Hunt Bros. hoard from the early 80's, some schmuck will "buy" that story.

In all honesty, ebay may be a hassle for the difference in profit between bulk selling it to a dealer.

You may want to search the internet for various dealers such as this example http://www.ajpm.com/htbin/silver.cgi, or at least try to get an idea for pricing.

When you are ready to sell make some calls to dealers who are within driving distance. Sell to the highest bidder and be prepared to drive there immediately. Agree in advance how you will be paid. If the dealer can't pay immediately don't even consider dealing with him.

Yea, ebay may be o.k., but the fees........

There's Kitco as well. I don't know their policy on siver, but I'd at least look to add it to my equation.
