    No. That's the common master hub doubled variety commonly referred to as "die 5". It at one time had the CONECA die number MH-5-O-I+II. This is among the most common of all doubled dies in US coins. Over half of all 1972 cents from all three mints, including proofs, have this doubling on them.

    Thanks for the reply C.D. I just searched a roll and more than 1/2 showed this same doubling. I guess that explains the high numbers I saw. Thanks, as always, for your expert opinion.
