What do you think of the RAW Lincoln Cents in the next B+M auction?

15-s and 24-d happen to be the two highest dates on my want list too. (also 20-s,23-s).

The 15-S is a 63RD IMO. All the others seem to be acuratly graded IMO (at least from the pics).

Buying RAW like that is for experinced collectors right? Or can one rely on B and M for grading?

In other words, I would like to buy RAW but I lack the experience. Can I trust any dealers?

I agree with clackamas on the grades but I'm not sure if I'd bid.

I'm not going to bid unless someone looks at them in person for me and can verify originality and describe luster. Then I sure will be bidding. That 24-d in fact sure looks gem, so I'm worried it'd go for more than a normal 64 would cost, and out of my price range.

I have limited knowledge of Lincolns.... the last time I collected them was as an early teenager. But that 24-D to my unexpert eye appears to be a superb example of the date.

i think every 1 of them is genuine. they all appear to be round as well!

With the way the major services are grading (or not grading) cents these days buying raw is a great risk. You can't rely on on-line photos.
