I keep hearing it's PCI. True? I'm considering a PCI slabbed coin and it just doesn't look MS63 to me. Thx.

ACG
SGS
NTC(In my opinion,the worst)
ICG(only with moderns)
I saw a SEGS 1897-o $ graded MS-62 walk into a shop today, the guy was wanting opinions as he just bought it for 500.00. Clearly an AU-55 maybe 58 at best!
Big price difference!!!

They ALWAYS overgrade.
Gee, I wonder why.
They don't like slabbing companies because it ties their hands on the issue of grade.

For moderns ANACS is probably the most conservative.
For Indian cents and early Lincolns I would rate PCGS 1, ANACS 2, NGC 3.
For early copper ANACS is very tough these days as is PCGS. NGC may be a bit less conservative. There has been inconsistency over time on early copper so you really have to know how to grade these.
