The U.S. goverments "partnership" in the 1933 Double Eagle.

Hi David,

Do you agree with the U.S. goverment in keeping half of the proceeds from the sale of the 1933 double eagle ? Even after taking half of the profits from the sale, U.S. goverment charged the buyer an extra twenty dollars to monetize the coin.

Is it true 9 more of these 1933 Double eagles possiably exist ?

I believe the government was and is wrong on their position on the 1933 $20. I believe the whole thing is a great waste of tax payer money.

I believe that there are probably 4 or 5 1933 double eagles in existence (not counting the two in the Smithsonian.)
