1902 vs. 1905 $20 Liberty relative value

Why is the 1905 50-100% higher priced than the 1902 in MS62,63,64 in the CDN, coin prices, etc., when the mintages, pops and the coins themselves so similar?

Do more people want a 1905? Is 1902 an unlucky year? Can anyone shed some light on this for me please, or am I just missing something obvious?

I don't collect MS $20s, but I would have to guess that it's supply and demand (speaking of obvious).

Doug Winter has an article on 20th century double eagles on his website that comments on these two coins.
