Everyone may already be aware of this, but
After reading a post about scams on ebay, one in particular where seller changed his feedback to private,
I thought I would pass it along in case some don't know.
Go to search page...
Click sellers tab.Enter sellers id.Search sellers completed items...
Click on feedback rating of buyers of the completed items....
Then click on their feedback left for others.....
Look for the seller your interested in....and feedback left for them...
It might take a few extra clicks of your mouse, but may provide some valuable info.
Although seller can hide his feedback listed under his ID....He can't hide feedback that others have left for him under their ID.
Hopefully this helps someone...

Heap o thanks from here, boss.

if a seller has private FB, I don't bid. He's hiding something for a reason.
I with you on that....

<Why does E-bay allow anybody to hide feedback????>
In cases where feedback might be in dispute, such as someone using feedback as retaliation, mud slinging, etc., some users hide the potentially harming feedback until the dispute is resolved.
I think many abuse the option in an attempt to hide their shady deals.. just MHO. Personally, I've never hid mine, nor will I ever,.. dispite what someone might say. If I treat people right, I don't feel I have anything to worry about.

so when they sell it nobody can't research for what he paid for the item.
But allowing to hide feedback is kind of defeating the purpose for which it was intended.
