How it's toned makes me think that it's been cleaned before... but I guess it made it into a PCGS holder... sometimes even they mess up. I'm not sure if I see any wear on the coin. If there is rub, I would give it an AU55, otherwise an MS61 or MS60... dull and lifeless, possibly overdipped? May just be the picture, but unattractive to me.
i have better au50 coins it is in a pcgs holder so they say it has not been cleaned , i have seen better coins in A.. you know that not good grading company , dont want to mention any names here
To me that seems to be a miss graded coin...look at the hair over the ear...the dullness of it...granted there are no marks or dings on the cheeks or in the fields...this coin still seems man handled.
