Is it possible to alter an Ebay auction, after it has been posted?

I probably just made a mistake, but is it possible to alter an Ebay auction, after it has been posted? Many thanx

I've haven't done it in a long time, but yes. You can change descriptions, add images, cancel the auction etc.

As far as changing the opening bid or adding a reserve, I would guess it can't be done if a bid has been received.

Yes. Near the top left there is a revise link. If bids have been made, all you can do is add information or end the auction (cencel bids first!).

Also, if pics are hosted by a third party and not Ebay, they can be changed at any time.

Could the seller, add a mintmark, or variety, or remove one from the heading?

  • As long as you have more than 12hrs left, and no bids you can still change the listing. Look under your selling tab on my ebay page. Should be a link to edit your listing on the right of the page.

Many thanx. I guess that I just mis-read the original heading, when I bid.

    Julian,

If the seller has revised the auction, a link that says "revised" will appear next to "description".

Only if there are no bids. If I understand Julian correctly, he bid in the auction than later noticed something different than what he thought he saw before bidding. If that is the case, than the seller would not have been able to change any of those things.

Russ' last response was entirely the case and he answered the question. Many thanx.
