NGC AU58 1804 1/2 Cent (should this one have been slabbed?)

Take a look at what looks like a scratch on the obverse of this half cent...

1804 1/2 Cent

What could that be? If it's a scratch, should the coin even be slabbed? Maybe NGC net-graded it?

Looks to me like the scratch is on the slab.

That scratch has got to be in the plastic.

I can't tell for sure if the scratch is on the plastic or on the coin. I still can't get used to using their image viewer...

When I zoomed in on it I could see the plastic on the sides of the scratch.
