A Petition To The King

Your Highness:
News of your impending visit to the Fort Washington show has traveled through your Kingdom. A lowly serf from your province of Chicago was wondering if you would grace your subjects in Chicago with a visit? Although I collect plain two-dimensional cardboard, and not the three-dimensional kalidescope of colors as you, your dedication to the hobby has spread even to those who only see in two-dimensions. As you may be aware, Rosemont has a number of excellent locations for ale and mutton, and I would be happy to suggest a location unless you have one in mind. Nor do we in the outer provinces seek any generosity from you other than the sharing of collecting stories.
A humble peasant,
John

I'm willing to stand, but I'm not willing to wear 3-D glasses.

Don't reveal too much.It is good to keep the king guessing.

WOW John..... That was some invite...
I love all that "Knights in Shining Armour" stuff....LOL... I'll be sure to hang that partchment on the castle wall...
I will be at the Chicago Sun Times Show Mar. 19-21 (mid Fri. to early Sun...). Love to sit down with the Registry Guys and break bread. I think they all prefer Gibson's for food and fun. If you know another place, Great!!! Please announce it to the board.
It's always my #1 prioriry to visit with the board members first, and then go and try to "cherry pick" the dealers, except for SetBuilders (Joe and Bob) though, there, I just suck up all the free air, eat all their candy, and talk with the other crazyies that come past his table...Lots of fun.
Don't know where the rumour started...Unfortunatly, I won't be able to come to the Fort this time...I'm tied up on a rather large construction project, and that a critical time. I'll try to make it to the next one.
(What exactly is "mutton"...???...)
See 'ya in Chi-Town...

lamb from england or prepared by the english.
ON ITS WAY TO NEWPORT BEACH, CA 92658
Gibson's is an excellent choice so I wouldn't suggest something else (although there are other fine choices in the Rosemont area). Is there a particular day that the group usually meets? I'm in the area so my schedule is flexible. I would assume Saturday night since some folks might not be there on Friday.
