kennedy question

I have a 1997 kennedy from Philly. It has the P mint mark. Why? I thought with very few exceptions Philly did not mint mark their coins. Please help explain. Thanks.

    ttt - um, hello?
  • After 1980? all Philly coins have the P mint mark... All except the Lincolns.

BTW, how's that 1935 set comming along?

Thank you for clarifying that! image

It's actually movin along pretty good. So far I have 5 of them. I've decided to go with raw coins because I can afford a better grade raw than slabbed. I'm waiting on a couple to arrive any day now and hope to be posting some pics this week. The ones I have so far are; 1935 Lincoln (MS65RDish) - 1935 Buffalo (AU58ish) - 1935 Mercury (AU55ish) - 1935S Mercury (AU55ish) - 1935D Washington (AU50ish). I say "ish" because I try my best to grade from the photos before I buy but I am by far not an experty grader LOL. So far I'm really havin fun with this! Look for an update post w/pics in a week or so image
