Circulated St Gaudens Hi Relief - will it slab? Grade?

Boughtthis 1907 High Relief Flat Edge - the most worn Hi Relief I've ever seen. It has good eye appeal and the fields are clean but there are multiple rim bumps all the way around - truely a pocket piece it seems. Think PCGS will holder the coin? If so, what grade would you guess??????

Neat coin to me as well, but I was wondering about bezel removal also as JB mentioned. If so then it won't holder at PCGS. However, if just wear, and the rim damage is not to bad then it should as long as it had not been cleaned extensively which it doesnt appear to be.

Looks around F-15 to me, but thats a guess! as I have never seen one cirulated this low before.

Throw out the grading book on this coin. It is what it is. Still a beautiful coin even with the wear.

holder such a coin!?! only to sell it, if I was keeping for a while, I'd leave it raw and enjoy holding it.

The coin does not appear to have been holdered in any visible manner (but it was probably dropped a few times which created some flatt spot on the edge......they're pretty much all around the coin but no pattern and not of similar size. Head on, you really can't see but a few but looking on edge, you see them. Here's the reverse. You can see one of the flat spots on the rim justto the left of the eagles head and another above the NI in UNITED.

K.....man, an AG to Good Hi Relief.......I'd love to see that. Do you recall (as if you could tell) if that coin was a wire rim of flat rim?

I've seen low grade examples of these in PCGS holders before... the lowest was a Fine-15!

Yours looks in the same ballpark, and perhaps a touch better. But I suspect the severity of the rim bumps would prevent it from being holdered.
    When in doubt, don't.

PCGS strongly dislikes rim bumps and rim bruising. On the other hand they are somewhat forgiving with Key coins. I still think the bump at 1:00, on the obverse, and 9:00, on the reverse are the kiss of death though for getting it holdered.
    Very, very cool regardless.

VF-25. Shouldn't have a problem getting it into a holder.
