Yahoo auctions??

Anybody in here sell on yahoo? is it worth it? listing fees are so much cheaper i just noticed and final value fee is also.

You guys think this can start competing with ebay in the long run. Since ebay keeps raising there fees people will look to sell elsewhere.
just wondering if any of you guys have had any luck on yahoo.

KM - Bottom line is that eBay auctions usually net the seller more. Theres a ton of bidders out there for eBay, not nearly as much for Yahoo, so while fees are less, so is your auction results...jay
  • I have never sold on there (or bought either one). From time to time, I will search on there for some Goudey's I collect, but it always seems they only have 10-20 (maybe) compared to the 75-150+ EBay has listed. I wish something would come along to give EBay a run for it's money, but unfortunately I don't believe it will be Yahoo. Yahoo has had auctions for a while now, but in my opinion, it does not seem to be taking off very well. I do know that Bill Henderson (The King of Commons) sells quite often on there, so maybe he does pretty good on there.

Although I would like to see it, I don't see a lot of solid competition for EBay on the horizon.

How ya doin today - nothing on yahoo - just wanted to say that your game story was alright - never saw a game that way - did they have special food? Ya know, you can't beat a red hot at Shea compared to other stadiums around the country. By the way, I was stationed at Ft. Gordon - did you ever go to the Masters during practice rounds - competition rounds are like Giant season tickets - someone has to die for you to get'm.

a good friend of mine is a lawyer in myrtle beach and he comes for the masters every year.he alwasy comes for the practice rounds. I never went with him i might this year though. as for the food at fulton county stadium back then, the pits!! Turner feild now i have to say is a great place to see a game(even better place when the mets come here and win).Plus the food they have in the interactive part of the park past the home run bleachers is top notch. Damn beer is 7.50 last time i went thoughimage

I wish yahoo would advertise there auctions more then. There whole auction system is set up like ebay. throw a couple million into advertising and maybe they would compete. i mean .35 to .5 is a big difference in listing a 1$ item. i just noticed that steiner sports does all there auctions on yahoo.
  • Quite a bit cheaper than eBay
