No riches. They're actually worthless junk. But, I feel guilty that you wasted money buying them so I'll give you $20 for the three.

Hi Russ, In the real world how much are these worth in average proof condition? Two of them have light cameo and one has a nice mirrored field. Oh yeah when you break up these proof sets what do you do with these cameo Jeffersons? I have this one pictured that looks really frosty. mike

I stick them in plastic tubes and when I have a full roll, sell them on eBay.

Thanks Russ, I am going to print that and put it in my binder. So pretty much the top notch coins are the ones I should look for. mike image

thanks for the AH price guide. Is you price guide a little more accurate than other ones we know?

It's based on several years of historical pricing data and adjusted for recent trends, which have been mostly down. For example, a couple years ago the coin in PR67CAM regularly brought about $400. Last year, the average sale was a little over $170, but the last seven sales had an average of $280. Thus the figure of $225 is based on an aggregate, combined with gut feeling.

Naturally, examples that are at the upper end for the grade or cameo designation should bring more than the pricing listed. That's not always the case, though, since most trade in what is essentially a sight-unseen market.

But, in answer to your original question, yes, those prices are more accurate than any of the "known" price guides.
