Bought on eBay cheap. Seller did not know if this is a "pattern" or not.

    worth maybe $3-4 in that condition. Those are akin to private patterns, not official Royal Mint issues. Some have silver (or nickel) centers

    No one knows what the hell they are but there's a busload of them at every coin fair. Akin to toy money and certainly not patterns or tokens. Often found bi-metallic with a "silver" centre (center).

    I'm pretty sure it's a Joseph Moore model. It's from the 1840's.

    I've never seen one with the "VR" initials on either side of the bust, though. Interesting.
