What do you think of these prices?

mintproducts.com

I am new to the gold collecting world and wondered what some of the more seasoned collectors think of the prices at the above URL.

Especially the St. Gaudens and the $10 Indian head gold. I checked the pcgs guide and it looks like they are a little under priced
on some of these coins compared to the current price guide.

Thanks for your help

  • I don't know this dealer but believe me you'll get no bargains. I suggest buying PCGS certified coins. Even then there are wide differences in quality in the SAME grade. I would advise you to find a reputable dealer. You'll pay more for PCGS coins but you'll get it back when you sell.
I'd rather be lucky than good.

    What grade are you considering?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I was looking at the MS63 and MS64 St. Gaudens

    and the

    MS-63 $10 Indian head
  • The prices for the PCGS and NGC $20 Saints probably aren't horrible, but you could probably do better. Also, since you're not buying a specific coin, they could send you whatever turkey they happen to have on hand. I'd buy somewhere else.
