Sounds like you probably saved her life.

  • Somehow in my mind, I don't think of buying coins as "spending money", just trading one form of money for another. Only when I buy stuff like camcorders and computers do I spend the time thinking about it.

That's the only way I can figure why I wouldn't hesitate to spend $1000+ to buy a single coin but I'd sit there for ages thinking about a $300 camcorder or a $500 computer.

  • Does it really matter?

Well, if it were my wife's car, she'd want the $400. If I took it and spent it on a nickel...LOOK OUT, fryin' pans be a flyin'.

I agree, you saved her life. Buy yourself another coin as a reward.

No, I put it towards a 2001 Toyota Seinna Minivan for her "

You, sir, are the exact opposite of insane. Whatever that may be.image
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"
  • Given that you got $400 for a car in that condition it would appear that you found a Coin Vault shopper to sell it to!

  • Your situation seems quite reasonable to mine...check this...I just purchased
a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS LT with 3-tone Sunburst finish and
maple neck (a dream of a guitar), telling myself that I would sell a coin to cover
    the cost of it! image

Now that I have it in hand, though, I'm thinking I don't really want to part with
    any coins! image
