Got Economy grades! (77 days)

Grades were posted Feb. 11 on one of the two economy submissions I submitted to PCGS in person on November 26; still no word on the other. The five coins below were raw submissions; the other submission consisted of six crossovers:

1895-S Morgan PCGS-25 (bought as a VF30; paid just under VF20 Bid) image
1879-O/horizontal O Morgan PCGS-AU50 (expected AU50) image
1879-O/horizontal O Morgan PCGS-AU50 (expected AU50) image
1899 Micro-O Morgan PCGS-AU53 (expected AU50 and bought very cheap) imageimage
1921-D TRU_T Morgan PCGS-XF45 (expected AU50 but bought cheap)

The fact that grades have not been posted on the crossover coins makes me wonder if they are inherently slower to go through the system than raw coins are?

How do they stack these up? Seems an earlier submission should be done.

Do they just put them in a big pile and pick one?

Mine arrived 12/1, and I'm still waiting, although my moderns arrived 12/1 and were back before CHristmas!

    I don't get it!

The Tru t is a tough one. I screwed up years ago and passed on one graded ms64 by PCGS... nice additions

  • I'm not much of a Morgan person. What is Tru t??

TRU–T is a filled die variety in which the S of IN GOD WE TRUST is virtually gone due to grease/crud/etc. filling the coin's die. They are extremely easy to spot, but difficult to locate -- especially in Mint State grades. The photo below is a closeup from the one I cherrypicked off eBay in a PCGS-62 holder for $42!
