I need help with a new card.

A co-worker just pulled a Diamond Kings autograph card numbered 1 of 1 of Sammy Sosa. He asked me what I thought the value might be. I do not have any idea of the new card market. If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate the information.

Well just looking at Ebay and considering he is a good pull I would say at least $300.00 and most likely higher.
It's tough to say on 1/1 cards.

Is it a Recollection Collection Autograph? These cards are "buybacks"--Donruss/Playoff reacquires cards they manufactured in previous years, has the player sign them, and stamps "Recollection Collection" on the front in silver foil (and of course numbers them on the back). If it is one of these, my current perception (based on Alan Trammell sales, can't speak for Sosa specifically) is that the market for Recollection Collection autographs is softening relative to other ultra-short print cards. Thus in that event comparing to previous 1/1 Sosa sales may potentially overestimate what might be realized for your card.

That said, a 1/1 insert of any star of Sosa's caliber is going to do well regardless of its type. As to exactly how well I couldn't say, being a bit too focused on Trammell collecting.
