  • I wish I could find old silver dimes and quarters in change...

the only one I ever found was a 1941 quarter... and I have my suspitions that it was "planted" for my enjoyment...

its not important how one gets into the circulation, its that you got it. , like how i got teh AU-50+ 62 lincolns or the 1934 series $100 bill last week. doesnt matter hwo it comes about , its that you locate find and swipe it

  • Last night, I was at a friend's house appraising some old coins he inherited (nothing too amazing in the bunch) and I was explaining to him about silver coins and why you don't find them in circulation anymore... then I'll be damned if I didn't get a 1962 dime in change today!! My first circulation silver dime ever (got a 1943 quarter once)!!!

As a side note, if you're ever unsure whether something's clad or silver, bathe it in hydrochloric acid. If it is unharmed, it's clad... if it dissolves, it was silver!

  • I found a 1963 Silver Roosy a week or two ago in circulation. That was a fun find, came out of change for a bag of Chex Mix at Winn Dixie. Thank you Chex Mix image
