Seems better to sell on, far less risk of your items going for nothing via ebay. They seem to be doing better and I've actually looked into selling, but not until I get a little more time on my hands, Jason
Baseball Card Heaven, the closest card shop to the Las Vegas Strip.
Some dealers use Naxcom as a way to advertise. Most do not accept offers that are less than advertised on their websites. So what I have found is that I can't get cards from Naxcom for less than high retail.
I've bought cards on Naxcom a few times, with never a problem. There have been a couple of threads about this; you might want to do a search for Naxcom.
Bought a few cards, but have never sold yet. Naxcom is a good place if you can be patient on your card wants. I have bought several McNair Bowman's Best RC's for $4.75 including shipping. On ebay, the best you can usually get is $5.00 PLUS shipping. Selling is also a decent way to get rid of some of the overprinted junk that you cannot afford to sell on ebay due to fees incurred when auctioning. Although you still have the selling fees, the listing is not a killer
I have had mixed expieriences with them. I purchased a graded PSA 8 1972 Football with no problems. Then I tried again and the seller of that card never responded and it took a month to get my money credited. Now I have one card for sale just to see if it gets any bites. If I can't get what I want for it I will put it on ebay. All in all its seems pretty safe. I mean I did get my money back, unlike a couple of times on ebay. I will let you know if my items sells.
Looking for 1971 Topps Football PSA 8 NQ or above, and slowly working my way into the 1962 Topps Football Set. Check out my 1972 Topps Football Set 100% Complete.
I haven't opened an account there yet, but I will soon--if only because it's my firm belief that the card collecting community has an obligation to start building viable alternatives to the 'bay.
