According to David Hall

All economy and modern orders are " First in First out" no one ahead of anyone else, unbiased, graded in the order received!!!!!!!!!

“The turn around times posted on the website for economy and modern services are for calendar days. Only the guaranteed services are counted in business days.”

So where is my order DAVID????????????

Lost in a corner of the first in first out room???

Leave them wait til the Janitor sweeps them out of the corner ????????

And don't even think about " there must have been an error on your submission form" or any other excuess to blame the submitter for the problem it will not fly.

Is there some reason you started yet another thread about exactly the same thing? Why not just bump one of the others you've posted about exactly the same thing?

Today I got in a neat modern Jeff and a high grade Memorial Cent. Paid for the 1 week service - will have my results by the end of next week. I wasn't crazy about it, but, if one coin works it covers 40 or 50 1 week submissions. You "got to pay to play" these days image

But, I am not minimizing the pain Glen is feeling. But, Glen - consider paying $50 walk through on your best moderns, slab another $2500-$3,000 Memorial cent for your "investment" of $50.10 including grading fee, which I may then buy off ebay from you and you can then forget about the $38 difference image

  • I have to agree with Glen. Yesterday, someone said to take this to the Q&A and David would give an answer. Well, it has been over there in various forms. My question was actually posted one week without an answer and just ignored the next. He did actually answer one person when he said first in/first out. Well, we can all see that is a crock of s----!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it's about time for PCGS to take some really drastic measures to get in line with their customers needs and expectations. Maybe a moratorium on submissions of newly minted coins until caught up. Maybe skipping a show or two until the home shop is in order. Maybe hiring some graders to do newly minted modern coins only. Whatever the answer is, they don't seem to be taking the problem very seriously..
...Oh, by the way, too late in the day for coffee! So I made a stiff Margarita....Ken

This is just my past experience. I don't know if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

When my coins take extermely long to grade there is either a 70 or aTop Pop in the submission.
  • I could only wish
I think they all will be Body Bag for lack of faith.

  • When my coins take extermely long to grade there is either a 70 or aTop Pop in the submission. ....That would be nice! My submission of 12/12 contains a nice 71 proof cent, 67 SMS Kennedy, four 69 proof Kennedys, a 71 proof Kennedy, and a really nice 68D Kennedy. An MS70 or PR70 or top pop in any of these would sure make me feel better about getting not getting my grades on a timely basis.....
  • If true Ken we'll both have a great day

Mine were received on 1/26 and are free. I hope they get them done soon. I hate to wait. (I do think the free one's for a 90% registry set are regular service, so they could be soon). Now my economy error submission received the same day may not beat summer here.

    Glen, maybe this'll help. image

    The 5 stages of submission.

    1. DENIAL --- I know PCGS is slow right now, but maybe my invoice will post early. I don't care if they're a few days late. I'm just anxious.

    2. ANGER --- Look, I paid you people for service. How do you expect to stay in business if you treat customers this way! Don't you know there are competitors? I have their submission form. Don't make me use it!

    3. BARGAINING --- OK, so this one is slow. Just get these back to me and I swear I'll quit submitting $20 coins and never use economy anymore. I take back all the ugly things I posted. Just don't seek revenge with my grades.

    4. DEPRESSION --- PCGS could care less when I get my coins. It'll likely be three more months. My coins will probably turn in the flip waiting to be graded. Geez, they'll likely undergrade them anyway. I think they've decided to ignore my invoice.

    5. ACCEPTANCE --- OK, I chose PCGS economy because it made the most sense for what I submitted. Waiting is a pain in the butt, but I know they'll eventually get done, and I'll probably do this again when I get over being mad. I know my griping doesn't matter much when they've got too many submissions to meet their own deadlines. Maybe they're busy for a reason. Man, I'm glad I already have my submissions in the process. Can you imagine if I was just sending them now?

    Glen,

I use NGC, PCGS, and ANACS. I like them all a bunch for different reasons. PCGS is obviously going through a rough patch. I think collectors need all three companies, and having them all succeed is good for us. I figure PCGS will eventually iron out their difficulties. I'm in this for the long haul, and I expect PCGS is too, so in the short term I'll be patient while they work through the backlog. Long term, they're a good friend for a collector to keep. JMO

I sent an economy order to PCGS on Jan 27. Considering how old I am, It never occurred to me that I may die of old age, and never find out the grades? Well....now I have a real incentive to stay alive. I feel stronger and more alert with each passing day, thanks to PCGS. Don't even need viagra anymore image

  • Glen....I too am waiting.....

For modern economy submissions I have rec'd 2 back recently.

One was in on 12-18 and the other on 12-22 (even though both
were mailed to them in the same package)

BUT...........I have one that was in on 12-2 and no sign of it........
they told me yesterday the submission was moving along but
would not tell me when to expect and gave no logical reason
why my submission of 3 weeks later was completed first.

    First in/first out ???? I don't think so !!!!

We are all at their mercy.......submit or not submit....that is the question
  • We are all having the same problem with orders being returned out of order and some orders in a 'black hole'.
I have now started sending orders once a week with the idea that eventually I will start receiving them back at weekly intervals.
    Ever hopeful!
