Can anyone help identify this coin??

Hi, Ive had this coin a while. Maybe it's not even a coin but I figured I'd throw it out here and see if anyone can send me in the right direction country wise or anything!!

    It's a modern fantasy piece loosely based on Roman coinage from the 4th century A.D. The few that we have are usually on planchets that are very similar to a modern U.S. cent (i.e. copper plated zinc). Each one is exactly the same size and shape, so they are die cut machine made items. We have one with an "antiqued" look similar to yours, and one that is full red like a cent. They are easily found in dealer's junk boxes for ten cents to 25 cents each. I don't know where they originally came from though.
