Any recent change finds?

This week has been pretty good.
First I get a German 1 pfennig coin in my change, the next day I get a 1961 silver 25¢ (albeit worn) and yesterday I found a nice circulated 1944 cent.
This is not the first time I've gotten really foreign coins in my change, I've recieved a 1 and 5p coin instead of a 1 and 10¢ respectively and I've gotten an italian 1000lire coin instead of a 25¢ peice once.

Any of you have any interesting change discoveries?

Going through some accumulated change I found a largish copper slug-worn completely smooth. I was going to toss it but regained my sanity and looked more closely and it just might be a large cent, US I think. There is just the faintest suggestion of a wreath, no more than 2 or 3 degrees in several places under the light. So I kept it but don't know what it is or where it came from. I should probably weigh it and measure it but I'm not sure what I would accomplish.

I found one of these once with the hint of a profile on one side and a fairly
clear 1804. I brought pretty good money.

It's been a great week for clad quarters. Found a bunch of rolls with some
old high grade coins in them. Most were tarnished or spotted but there were
a few that were clean. They were probably dug out from behind the machines
    at a laundromat or something.

  • I got a 1970 D dime in change that was worn so thin that all around the edges, the inner copper is starting to show and the date is very worn. I measured a new one at 1.38 mm thick this one was 1.00 mm thick.
I like Ikes!! But I especially like Viking Ships, Swedish Plate Money, and all coins Scandinavian.

I was recently sorting through a big pile of change my mother and her husband had tossed aside over the years and found an 1887 dime in VF. It's by far the best change find I've ever had. imageimage
