Unidentified 1762 coin

I was told it's a coin from Sicily. But I have not found it in the Krause catalog.

Could be Sardinia. I just bought a 1799 2 Denari that looks a lot like it...

Look under Italian States: Sardinia: Mainland Coinage: C#1.

Nice coin. I think the Italian States coinage is vastly under appreciated. It's a charming and challenging series to collect.

I agree... 0 pieces collected thus far (I'm talking 18th century). I do have an XF Venetian grosso from the 16th century, though
