Can I get a response from all Euro collectors out there?

I was recently contacted by a fellow member of the Forum regarding how to best build a Euro collection, and offerred as good advice as I could.

But it got me to thinking.......

Maybe we can build a network of Euro collectors/traders in this post for all to reference. Maybe also some folks on the Forum who do not actively collect Euros, but live in or near countries which use them, or even folks who have friends, family, or business connections to Euros, can post their willingness here to help those of us who collect them to find missing pieces.

So what do you say? Just post here what you either collect, need, or have in the way of tradeable extras, or your ability to get some for others. Hopefully, this thread will be a simple pos of names, info, and will not be hijacked otherwise.

Thanks!

I'll start..........................

I'm collecting 1 per-mintmark-per-denomination-per-year-per-country from '99-'02 (nice circ condition), and have same to trade. My list of needs is available on request, and the count is currently stuck at 26 to go!image

  • Only have a 2 Euro cent from Italy I got in a roll of cents, there was also a couple canadians in there too.
  • I'm short 2-3 Greek pieces, will need to check.

    Have:
    rolls of Belgian 1999 1c, 2000 2c (also a roll each of 1999 5c and 2000 10c I'd rather not break)
some loose Dutch and Italian UNC 1c-10c.
  • I'm the guy who contacted DBS and started this ball rolling :-)

Like him I'm working on a denomination/mint/nation/year set of them. As I'm getting started I'll report back any stuff I end up having to trade as I get such.

I don't get into the Euros much yet but almost certainly will in a few years. I do
have a lot of interest in the recently obsolete European coins, primarily to buy but
would consider trades, etc. My interest is limited strictly to unc, preferrably gem.

It's not that I don't like new coins but I can't seem to make heads or tails of them
until they are a few years old.image

    Try this place: Euroswapper.com image
(I haven't yet myself, but it looks decent)

I'll try to put some real comments here later.. I haven't found many non-German coins in circ lately??
  • That euroswapper site is fantastic.

The Buy/trade forums there hold some of the best set of prices that I've seen on a lot of the coins. That is a forum that will make my collecting of these coins a LOT easier. Thanks!
